CrewConnect Europe 2021

MOGCS recently attended the CrewConnect Europe Virtual Conference. The topic for 2021 was “Leadership, the human element and the maritime workplace of the future”. The 2 day event covered current issues and topics affecting the Maritime Industry, this included the crew change crisis, seafarers wellbeing, the vaccination program and the cruise market outlook.

Our very own Aashish Puri spoke on the subjects of “Seafarers And The Vaccine Against Covid-19” and “The Blended Training Recipe”.

SEAFARERS AND THE VACCINE AGAINST COVID-19

The panel in this session discussed the vaccine progress and distribution plans in Europe and crew supply countries.

THE BLENDED TRAINING RECIPE

This session surrounded the future of Maritime training and if this would be virtual, in person or perhaps a blend of both. Panellists shared their experience, ideas and advice on: Which training can be digitized and which must remain face-to-face? Selecting format and delivery: simulation, VR, gamification, e-learning Assessment.
